Erst am Tag zuvor verkündete man den Bau des neuen Einstiegs-Elektroautos, jetzt blickte Konzernchef Oliver Blume auf der 64. ordentlichen Hauptversammlung des Konzerns am 29. Mai auch grundsätzlich optimistisch in die Zukunft.
So hält das Unternehmen trotz herausfordernden Marktumfelds weiter an seinen Prognosen für 2024 fest. Und blickt auch deutlich über das laufende Jahr hinaus: Noch in diesem Jahr wolle man den Grundstein für die neue Konzernstrategie 2035 legen, sagte Konzern-Chef Blume während rein virtuellen Hauptversammlung: „Sie wird der Nordstern für das Handeln in den kommenden zehn Jahren sein.“
Auf weitere Details dazu ging Blume während der Hauptversammlung nicht ein. Aber natürlich dürfte die Entwicklungsgeschwindigkeit eine Rolle spielen. Volkswagen will und muss schneller werden bei der Fahrzeugentwicklung, um mit Konkurrenten mitzuhalten. "Volkswagen ist in der Lage, schnell zu entwickeln. Effizient und effektiv – mit Europe Speed", sagte Blume.
