Weiterstadt. Die VW-Tochter Seat sponsert zum fünten Mal das Festival Rock am Ring, das vom 5. bis 7. Juni stattfindet. Rund 90.000 Musikfans werden an dem neuen Standort, dem ehemaligen Bundeswehr-Flugplatz in Mendig, erwartet. 86 Bands haben sich angemeldet, unter anderem Foo Fighters, Die Toten Hosen, Slipknot und The Prodigy. Um gezielt ein junges Publikum anzusprechen, ist der Importeur schon seit Jahren im Musiksponsoring aktiv. Seat stellt beim 30. Rock am Ring-Event die Cupra-Familie aus, in den VIP-Bereichen verspricht die Marke den "Cupra-Camp"-Gewinnern "ein völlig neues Festivalerlebnis". Sie erhalten unter anderem die Möglichkeit zu einem „Meet & Greet“ mit einer Band.
„Rockmusik, Festivals und Seat – das passt wie die Faust aufs Auge", meint Marketingleiterin Susanne Franz. "Gerade junge Menschen, die einen Spaß orientierten und dynamischen Lifestyle pflegen, sollen auch bei Seat nicht zu kurz kommen."
