München. Der Autohersteller BMW und der Bergsportspezialist Salewa gaben am heutigen Dienstag (28.1.) auf der Internationalen Fachmesse für Sportartikel und Sportmode ISPO eine Kooperation bekannt. Ab September dieses Jahres wollen die beiden Unternehmen "ihre Kompetenzen bündeln, um die individuelle Mobilität mit dem perfekten Outdoor-Erlebnis zu verbinden".
Ab Herbst sind verschiedene Bergsport- und Outdoor-Events geplant, die von erfahrenen Athleten und Bergführern begleitet werden sollen. Salewa will mit der passenden Ausrüstung die Aktivitäten unterstützen, BMW liefert die Fahrzeuge für die Veranstaltungen. "Mit der Serienversion des Concept Active Tourer stellt BMW erneut seine Fähigkeiten unter Beweis, neue, an den Bedürfnissen der Kunden orientierte Konzepte, bereitzustellen", sagt Steven Althaus, Leiter Markenführung BMW. Salewa und BMW verbinde "das gemeinsame Ziel, modernen Menschen die optimale Mobilität für Körper und Geist zu bieten." Teilnehmer der gemeinsamen Veranstaltungen sollen das neue Fahrzeug während einer Testfahrt erleben und sich so von seinen Vorzügen überzeugen können.BMW hatte im Juli vergangenen Jahres auf der Fachmesse Outdoor Friedrichshafen das BMW Active Tourer Concept Outdoor vorgestellt. Die seriennahe Studie ist eine Abwandlung des bereits auf dem Autosalon Paris 2012 vorgestellten Active Tourer Concept, mit dem BMW einen Ausblick auf seinen Van gibt. Der kleine Van mit Frontantrieb basiert auf der neuen Architektur für die Mini-Modelle und BMW-Fahrzeuge unterhalb des Dreiers, die Serienversion wird Anfang März auf dem Genfer Automobilsalon präsentiert.
