Frankfurt. Fiat wechselt den Chef der deutschen Vertriebsgesellschaft: Mit sofortiger Wirkung übernimmt der Franzose Eric Laforge den Vorstandsvorsitz der Fiat Group Automobiles Germany AG. Er folgt auf Martin Rada, der als Geschäftsführer der österreichischen Importeursgesellschaft in seine Heimat zurückkehrt. Rada stand erst seit Oktober 2011 an der Spitze von Fiat Deutschland. "Der deutsche Markt ist besonders wettbewerbsintensiv und stellt heute mehr denn je eine anspruchsvolle Aufgabe dar. Mit unseren sechs starken Marken und ökologisch wie ökonomisch zeitgemäßen Produkten wollen wir die Position des Fiat-Konzerns in Deutschland stärken und dabei unsere vielseitige Kompetenz nutzen", so Laforge. Der 44-Jährige war zuletzt für den Vertrieb in der Schweiz verantwortlich.
Nach Informationen der Automobilwoche übernimmt Martin Rada sofort die Verantwortung für das Österreich-Geschäft und übergibt die deutsche Organisation in den nächsten Wochen Schritt für Schritt an Laforge. Die Zukunft des bisherigen Austria-Chefs, Ulrich Hörnke, ist noch offen. Der ehemalige Daimler-Manager ist erst im Februar 2012 CEO der Fiat Group Automobiles Austria geworden. Der 51-jährige Deutsche war davor CEO bei Chrysler International und damit für die Region Europa, Mittlerer Osten und Afrika verantwortlich gewesen.Die deutsche Vertriebsorganisation ist für die Marken Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Abarth, Fiat Professional und Jeep verantwortlich. In den ersten drei Monaten des laufenden Jahres brachen der Pkw-Markt in Deutschland um 12,9 Prozent auf 673.957 Neuzulassungen ein. Die Marke Fiat verzeichnete ein Minus von 6,8 Prozent auf 16.701 Pkw, Lancia einen Rückgang von 61,1 Prozent auf 384 Einheiten, Alfa Romeo büßte mit einem Absatz von 927 Fahrzeugen 59,4 Prozent ein. Jeep dagegen verkaufte 1609 Fahrzeuge - ein Plus von 7,5 Prozent.Im vergangenen Jahr war die Pkw-Nachfrage in Deutschland um 2,9 Prozent zurückgegangen. Die Marke Fiat verlor mit 72.755 Einheiten 9,2 Prozent an Absatz. Lancia verkaufte 27,1 Prozent mehr und kam auf 2979 Fahrzeuge, Alfa Romeo brach um 28,4 Prozent auf 7502 Pkw ein. Dazu kamen die Marken Chrysler, Jeep und Dodge, die ein Plus von 35,8 Prozent auf 7033 Einheiten aufwiesen. Chrysler wurde inzwischen mit der Marke Lancia verschmolzen. Dodge wird in Deutschland praktisch nicht mehr angeboten.Laforge verfügt über langjährige Automobil-Erfahrung in verantwortlichen Sales-Funktionen. Er begann seine Karriere nach dem finanzwissenschaftlichen Studium im Juli 1990 bei der Fiat Auto S.p.A. France. Ab Juli 2000 setzte er seine Laufbahn in der Turiner Zentrale der Fiat Auto S.p.A. fort: Hier zeichnete er unter anderem für das Fleet Management, als Area Manager für Fiat, Alfa Romeo und Lancia auf wichtigen europäischen Märkten sowie als Europa-Direktor für Lancia und Fiat Professional verantwortlich.Fiat Deutschland wechselt Chef aus
