Stuttgart. M-Way-Solutions hat in Ulm einen neuen Standort für die HMI-Entwicklung eröffnet. HMI ist die Abkürzung für Human Machine Interface, also das Bedienkonzept eines Navigations- und Infotainmentsystems oder eines Cockpits. Die Investition ist Teil der engen und globalen Zusammenarbeit mit dem US-amerikanischen Telematik-Services-Anbieter Agero, der sich im Juli 2012 an dem Stuttgarter Spezialisten für Enterprise Mobility beteiligte. "Unser Ziel ist es, das Angebot im Bereich Connected Sevices für die Automobilindustrie deutlich voranzutreiben", erklärt Volker Hahn, Gründer und CEO von M-Way Solutions. Mit der Plattform und den Lösungen von M-Way Solutions können Hersteller mobiles Internet, Content-Dienste, Apps und personalisierte Nutzungsoberflächen gezielt an Modell, Markt und Kunde anpassen.
Agero mit Sitz in Dallas/Texas ist 1972 als Automobilclub "Cross Country Motor Club" gegründet worden und verfügt über ein ähnliches Produktportfolio wie der ADAC mit seinem Pannendienst etc. Durch den Zukauf von ATX, einem Anbieter von Online-Diensten für Fahrzeuge, stieg Agero in den Markt für Connected Vehicle Services ein. Heute bietet das US-Unternehmen verschiedendste Dienstleistungen an: Diese reichen von der Diagnose und Call-Centern mit einem Concierge-Service über ortsbezogene Dienste bis zu Navigationslösungen. M-Way-Solutions wurde 2004 von Volker Hahn gestartet. Das Unternehmen entwickelt für Unternehmenskunden Software zur Integration von mobilen Endgeräten in die Unternehmens-IT. Zu den Automotive-Kunden gehören unter anderem BMW und Toyota.Zahlreiche deutsche und internationale Markenhersteller, aber auch Erstausrüster haben ihre Softwareentwicklung bereits in die Region Ulm verlagert. Die Eröffnung eines Büros am bewährten Standort der HMI-Entwicklung verleiht uns die gewünschte Geschwindigkeit im Automotive-Bereich", sagt Hahn und ergänzt: "Mit dem neuen Team entsprechen wir der aktuellen Nachfrage am Markt und unterstreichen unsere Strategie.
