Stuttgart/Shanghai. Smart bringt das Sondermodell "forjeremy" in einer streng limitierten Sonderedition. Der Zweisitzer, der in Zusammenarbeit mit dem international renommierten Modedesigner Jeremy Scott entstanden ist, werde im April in Produktion gehen. Dies kündigte die Kleinstwagenmarke des Daimler-Konzerns auf der "Auto Shanghai“ an. Markantes Designmerkmal sind Flügel am Fahrzeugheck. Das Sondermodell, das bei Smart-Tuner Brabus gebaut wird, gibt es in drei Varianten. Als Coupé "smart fortwo edition by Jeremy Scott BRABUS" mit 102-PS-starken Turbo-Benziner für 33.000 Euro. Sowie zwei Modelle mit Elektroantrieb: Mit 55kW für 34.800 Euro (smart fortwo edition by Jeremy Scott electric drive) und in der Brabus-Version mit 60 kW (82 PS) für 40.600 Euro. Die Modellpalette von Smart ist stark in die Jahre gekommen. Seit dem Marktstart des Zweisitzers im Jahr 1998 hat die Marke praktisch keine neue Fahrzeuggeneration mehr auf den Markt gebracht. Nun sollen Sondermodelle und Brabus-Versionen sowie vor allem der "fortwo" mit Elektroantrieb das Angebot frisch halten. Im ersten Quartel ging der Absatz von Smart um fünf Prozent auf 25.632 Einheiten zurück. Im Gesamtjahr will die Marke wieder rund 100.000 Fahrzeuge weltweit verkaufen und so auf das Niveau des Vorjahres kommen. Erst 2014 wird Smart in Zusammenarbeit mit Renault einen völlig neuen Zwei- und einen Viersitzer auf den Markt bringen.Der US-Modedesigner Jeremy Scott gilt als letzter Rebell der Modeszene. Für ihn gibt es hinsichtlich Stil, Muster oder Entwürfen weder Grenzen noch Konventionen. Er polarisiert und das macht ihn zu einer Pop-Ikone und einem Schöpfer außergewöhnlicher Mode. Stars aus der Musikszene tragen und lieben seine avantgardistischen Kreationen. Unter anderem gehören Musikgrößen wie Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Katy Perry, Madonna, Björk und Kanye West zu seinem Kundenstamm. In seinen Kollektionen - ob Sweatshirts, Sonnenbrillen, Uhren oder Turnschuhe - tauchen immer wieder Flügel auf. "Ich wollte etwas Außergewöhnliches entwerfen, etwas, das meine Träume und Fantasien ausdrückt und meine Idee von Mode auf Automobildesign überträgt”, erläutert Jeremy Scott.
