Brasov/Rumänien. Elektrobit (EB) eröffnet eine neue Niederlassung in Brasov, Rumänien. Der neue Standort wird Automobilsoftware entwickeln und testen. Zum Managing Director von EB Automotive Romania SRL wurde Christian Drothler ernannt, der zuvor für Entwicklung und Kundenprojekte im Steuergerätebereich in Deutschland verantwortlich war. "Mit der neuen Niederlassung in Brasov erweitert EB seine Geschäftsaktivitäten auf Osteuropa. Wir werden über 100 Arbeitsplätze für Softwareentwickler in der Region schaffen, vorwiegend in den Bereichen Navigations- und Steuergerätesoftware", so Drothler.""Mein Ziel ist es, eine starke Basis für die Entwicklung und die Tests unserer Produkte in Rumänien zu schaffen und EB zu einem der begehrtesten Arbeitgeber in Brasov zu machen."
Der finnische Softwarespezialisten wurde erst 1998 gegründet und beschäftigt heute über 1200 Mitarbeiter in der Sparte Automotive und der auf die Mobilfunkindustrie fokussierten Wireless-Sparte. Neben Software für Navigations- und Infotainmentsysteme sowie Steuergeräten bietet Elektrobit auch Tools zur Softwareentwicklung sowie Beratungsleistungen an. Im Jahr 2009 wurde mit Audi das Gemeinschaftsunternehmen eSolutions gegründet, das für den VW-Konzern eine Software-Plattform für Infotainmentsysteme entwickeln soll.
