München. Als Gründe nennt ein Seat- Sprecher die Ukraine-Krise und ihre negativen Auswirkungen auf die wirtschaftliche Entwicklung. Die Nachfrage in den betreffenden Segmenten sei gesunken, zudem habe sich die Abwertung des Rubels massiv auf das Importgeschäft ausgewirkt. Das Unternehmen hatte Ende vergangenen Jahres bereits seinen Import nach China angesichts schlechter Absatzzahlen gestoppt. In China wie in Russland sei nur eine Produktion vor Ort sinnvoll, erklärte der Seat- Sprecher. Derzeit werde analysiert, ob der Autobauer künftig in China produzieren wird. Eine lokale Fertigung in Russland sei derzeit kein Thema. Dank ihrer Produktoffensive fahren die Spanier dennoch auf Erfolgskurs. In den ersten zehn Monaten hat Seat weltweit 326.000 Autos ausgeliefert und den Absatz im Vergleich zum Vorjahr um 10,5 Prozent gesteigert. Wir wollen uns auf den europäischen Markt konzentrieren“, heißt es bei Seat. Die Verkaufszahlen erhöhten sich hier von Januar bis Oktober um 13,9 Prozent auf 275.100 Einheiten. Weitere größere Seat-Märkte sind Mexiko, Algerien und Israel. Geplante Modelle wie ein Kompakt-SUV sollen den Absatz auch in Zukunft weiter ankurbeln.

Seat stoppt Ende des Jahres den Verkauf in Russland
Die VW-Tochter Seat will Ende des Jahres ihren Verkauf in Russland einstellen. Der spanische Autobauer vertreibt dort seit 2011 seine Fahrzeuge, seit Anfang 2012 über die Volkswagen Group Rus. Doch die importierten Modelle Ibiza, Altea und Leon liefen zuletzt immer schlechter. Verkaufte Seat 2013 noch 3375 Einheiten, waren es von Januar bis Oktober dieses Jahres nur noch 1324 Autos.
