Das geplante milliardenschwere Sparprogramm im Volkswagen-Konzern hat jetzt auch Auswirkungen auf die Gehälter des Top-Managements inklusive des Vorstands um CEO Oliver Blume. So wird den Führungskräften der Wolfsburger eine ursprünglich geplante Gehaltserhöhung in diesem Jahr verweigert. Dies soll helfen, die harten Einsparziele bei VW zu erreichen.
Konkret geht es um einen Gehaltszuschlag von 3,3 Prozent zum 1. Mai 2024 sowie eine Inflationsprämie in Höhe von 1000 Euro. Beides werde nun nicht ausgezahlt, bestätigte Volkswagen. Eine Sprecherin erläuterte: "Mitglieder im Management tragen eine besondere Verantwortung für das Unternehmen und üben eine wesentliche Vorbildfunktion aus, die gerade in der aktuellen Situation zum Tragen kommt." Zuvor hatte das Handelsblatt über den Vorgang berichtet.
Wie groß der Beitrag der noch einmal deutlich besser vergüteten Vorstände im Konzern ausfällt, ist noch offen. Erwartet wird, dass auch sie aus Solidarität trotz eines erwarteten Top-Ergebnisses für das Geschäftsjahr 2023 auf Geld verzichten. Volkswagen will damit Konsequenz bei seinem Sparprogramm beweisen. Vor Weihnachten verabschiedete das Unternehmen bereits ein Eckpunktepapier mit Sparzielen für Entwicklung, Einkauf und vor allem das Personalressort. Um 20 Prozent will Volkswagen hier die Kosten in der Verwaltung senken. Dafür wird auch die Altersteilzeit für den Jahrgang 1967 geöffnet und am Einstellungsstopp im Konzern festgehalten.
