Ingolstadt. Die chinesischen Behörden hatten der Audi-Verkaufsorganisation vorgeworfen, über ihr lokales Händlernetz überhöhte Ersatzteilpreise verlangt und gegen andere Antimonopolregeln verstoßen zu haben. Der Autobauer muss ein hohes Bußgeld zahlen, die genaue Summe ist noch nicht bekannt. In den ersten sieben Monaten dieses Jahres erhöhte die Marke mit den vier Ringen ihren Verkauf in China um 17,4 Prozent auf 316.945 Autos. Im Juli sorgten vor allem der Geländewagen Q3 und die Langversion der Limousine A6 für einen steigenden Absatz, der um 15,6 Prozent auf 48.279 Fahrzeuge zulegte. Audis China-Chef Dietmar Voggenreiter hat angekündigt, den Verkauf im Reich der Mitte vor allem mit Kompaktwagen weiter anzukurbeln. Er konzentriert sich verstärkt auf die obere Mittelschicht in China: „Sie ist für uns ein ganz wichtiger Wachstumstreiber.“ Laut einer McKinsey- Studie hat diese Gesellschaftsschicht 2012 nur 14 Prozent der Bevölkerung ausgemacht, der Anteil wird aber bis 2020 auf 54 Prozent steigen. Um diese wachsende Zielgruppe zu erreichen, erweitert Audi das lokale Angebot an Kompakten. In der neuen Fabrik im südchinesischen Foshan wird seit Frühjahr dieses Jahres der fünftürige A3 Sportback produziert, im Herbst folgt die A3 Limousine. „Das wird uns im zweiten Halbjahr noch einmal Rückenwind geben“, glaubt Voggenreiter. Der Geländewagen Q3 läuft bereits seit 2013 in Nordchina am Standort Changchun vom Band. Audi-Manager Voggenreiter sieht den Autobauer gut aufgestellt: „Wir sind der einzige Premiumhersteller, der in China drei Fahrzeuge im A-Segment produziert.“ Ab 2015 soll zudem der Plug-in-Hybrid A3 Sportback e-tron importiert werden. Kein Segment im Premiumbereich wachse in China derzeit so schnell wie das der Kompaktfahrzeuge, berichtet Voggenreiter. Lag der Marktanteil 2009 noch bei zwei Prozent, beträgt er nach dem ersten Halbjahr 2014 bereits 14 Prozent. Neben dem A-Segment zählt der Audi-Manager das B-Segment zu den großen Wachstumstreibern. Audi bietet dafür aus lokaler Fertigung die Modelle A4 Langversion und Q5 an, die in Changchun gebaut werden. Voggenreiter rechnet spätestens für 2017 mit einer Jahresproduktion in beiden Werken von insgesamt 700.000 Fahrzeugen, 2014 werden es deutlich über 400.000 sein.

Obwohl Chinas Preiswächter seit Wochen den Druck auf die Autobranche erhöhen, hält Audi an seiner Wachstumsstrategie fest. Die Ingolstädter wollen die Marktführerschaft in ihrem weltweit größten Absatzmarkt ausbauen.
