Lynk & Co steht in den Startlöchern: "Die ersten Autos kommen im zweiten Quartal 2021", kündigte Alain Visser, Vorstandschef von Lynk & Co, beim Automobilwoche Kongress 2020 an. Die Marke aus dem chinesischen Geely-Konzern will die Autowelt mit ihrem neuen Geschäftsmodell auf den Kopf stellen: Statt Autos zu kaufen werden die Kunden Mitglied im Club.
Dafür zahlen die Kunden monatlich 500 Euro und erhalten dann ein Auto. Nach nur einem Monat kann der Kunde wieder aussteigen. Wie beim Abo-Modell üblich, umfasst der Preis die meisten Kosten, lediglich Parkgebühren, Strom und Kraftstoff fallen noch an. "Der Kunde kann den Preis noch senken, wenn er sein Auto mit anderen teilt", so Visser. Allerdings steht beim Geschäftsmodell von Lynk & Co nicht das Teilen im Vordergrund, sondern die Club-Mitgliedschaft.
Grundsätzlich will die neue Marke alles möglichst einfach gestalten. Bei den Fahrzeugen gibt es kaum Auswahl – nur Hybrid und Plug-in-Hybrid beim Antrieb, nur schwarz und blau bei den Farben. Dennoch legt Visser Wert auf eine emotionale Bindung zur Marke: "Wir bauen ein Markenerlebnis auf, das mehr ist als ein Auto", kündigt Visser. Ziel ist der Aufbau einer Community.
