Er kam spät, war dafür aber umso erfolgreicher. Denn seit VW den Tiguan auch als gestreckten Allspace mit dritter Sitzreihe oder 760 bis 1920 Litern Kofferraum anbietet, macht der nun 4,72 Meter lange Lulatsch weltweit mehr als 50 Prozent der Bestellungen aus. Kein Wunder also, dass die Niedersachsen nun auch der besseren Hälfte das große Facelift gönnen, das es für den normalen Tiguan schon im letzten Jahr gegeben hat. Zu haben ist das für Preise, die bei etwa 36.000 Euro beginnen werden, und ausgeliefert wird ab Oktober.
Von außen zu erkennen ist das Update vor allem an der Frontpartie, die jetzt neben Scheinwerfern mit LED-Matrixlicht auch noch eine beleuchtete Spange im Kühlergrill trägt. Dazu gibt's retuschierte Rückleuchten, neue Räder und neue Lacke.
