Zulieferer der Autoindustrie haben es derzeit nicht leicht. Die Konjunktur schwächelt, die Kosten für Rohstoffe und Material gehen immer noch nach oben. Dazu kommen die Folgen des Ukraine-Krieges mit weltweiten Unsicherheiten in der Lieferkette und der Logistik. In diesem Umfeld hat der ZF-Konzern im ersten Halbjahr 2023 einen Umsatz von 23,3 Milliarden Euro erwirtschaftet, zehn Prozent mehr als im Vorjahreszeitraum. Das EBIT lag bei 941 Millionen Euro, was einer unveränderten Rendite von vier Prozent entspricht.
ZF-Finanzchef Michael Frick, der im vergangenen Jahr vom Wettbewerber Mahle aus Stuttgart an den Bodensee gekommen war, zeigte sich zufrieden. "Trotz hoher Inflation und höherer Ausgaben für Forschung und Entwicklung konnten wir unser angestrebtes Ergebnis erreichen“, sagte er. Der Cashflow lag allerdings mit 525 Millionen Euro wie schon im Vorjahr im Minus. Frick begründete dies mit den im Vergleich zum Vorjahr höheren Investitionen in Sachanlagen sowie Neuanläufen von Produkten.
