Überraschend hat der langjährige Vorstandschef der Elektroauto-Marke Lynk & Co, Alain Visser, sein Amt niedergelegt. Zum 8. Januar wird der bisherige Volvo-Cars-Manager Nicolas Lopez Appelgren neuer CEO von Lynk & Co in Europa.
Visser werde sich künftig "anderen Möglichkeiten außerhalb des Unternehmens widmen", teilte das Unternehmen mit. Visser stand bereits seit 2015 bei Geely als Verkaufs- und Marketingchef der Geely Auto Group unter Vertrag.
Er war dann maßgeblich an der Gründung der neuen Marke Lynk & Co beteiligt, die von Anfang an die ungewöhnliche Entscheidung traf, Neuwagen bevorzugt per Abonnement anzubieten und nur im Ausnahmefall zu verkaufen. Seit 2017 war er als CEO der Marke für die Region Europa verantwortlich.
Der CEO der Geely Auto Group, Jerry Gan, erklärte zum Abgang von Visser: "Wir möchten Alain für seine langjährigen Dienste danken und für alles, was er zum Aufbau eines starken Fundaments für die Zukunft von Lynk & Co beigetragen hat."
Nicolas Lopez Appelgren ist derzeit Head of Retail Operations bei Volvo Cars. Er gilt als Experte für Online-Verkauf und die Einbeziehung dieses Vertriebskanals in bestehende Händlernetzwerke.
